The Mail on Sunday 'X-Men The Last Stand' (40?)
The cards depict many of the Marvel characters that are not X-Men, eg The Fantastic Four. Having said that the Battle Cards do make an excellent set from the Marvel catalogue. The cards were given free with the paper in a black box with blue writing to advertise the release of the movie on May 26th 2006.

Magpie Publications 'Reader's Choice 2' (100?)
The cards are issued in blocks of four with issues of Card Times. The first series contained 112 cards but according to editor David Stuckey the new series "depends on how many photos come in". Twelve cards (3 blocks of 4) have been issued up to the July/August 2006 edition. No. 3 depicts Chesterfield where my father's family originate, so a special one for me. The cards are dated with the issue month of the magazine.
Sizes: block 150 x 102; when cut from block 75 x 51.
Chesterfields Fine Foods The Simpsons' Flipitz (7)
A new set of seven Lenticular cards is available on the top of the Chesterfields' round tub of Super Juicy I Bubblegum. I The circular cards have a black and white split back with the number at the bottom. Diameter size 50mm, dated 2004.
Tesco Stores Ltd. 'It's a game of two halves' (1)
This promotional card, co-sponsored by Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Gillette and Philips, is given to every shopper who spends £10 in store. The clever thing about the card is that it caters for both football and non-football fans. Depending on which half of the card is opened determines whether a football or a non-football prize is on offer.

Fox's Confectionery 'Have you Got the Balls' (65?)
Similar to 'Remember When' but with a Poppets' face on the front of the packet. Four different faces seen to date. On the back of the packet is a dare, as in No. 19, 'Take a toy car to your local petrol station and complain to the manager that their carwash shrunk it'. The others are similar. Highest number seen to date is 65.

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd. Try Something New Today' Recipe Cards (9?)
Found in store these attractive cards follow on from the Jamie Oliver TV commercials. The front of the card shows the finished dish with the recipe given on the reverse, which is headed 'Why not Try...'. Card size 147 x 105, undated.
Au'Some Candies Inc. 'Kong 8th Wonder of the World' (40?)
Following on from the block buster movie Au'Some Candies have issued stickers showing action scenes with kind permission of Universal Studios. The wrap arounds are issued in their Mighty Chew bubble gum.

Fox's Confectionery 'Remember When?' (16?)
Printed on their Payne's Poppets range of sweets, Fox's have depicted pictures of the past on the front of the box with humorous quotations on the back. There are four different coloured packets: Orange, Green, Purple and Red. The front pictures available on the Orange Packets are: Two cloth dice to hang in your car Conker on string Wind-up Plastic Robot VW Camper Van The pictures on the other boxes follow in a similar vein.
Size of box 125 x 66, numbered at back bottom right, dated with 'best before' date.
Bell Cheese UK 'Kid's Go Free'(1)
The cards can be collected from unmarked packets of Laughing Cow cheese. There are three vouchers inside the folded card for Legoland, Sea- Life and The Dungeons.

Joyco Espana S.A. Boomer Bubble Gum 'Barbie Collection' (?)
The wrap arounds found within the packet have Barbie stickers on one side and dry Tattoo's on the other. Some of the stickers show Barbie ready to be dressed with her wardrobe depicted on the other stickers.

COMMERCIAL
Panini 'FIFA World Cup Germany 2006' (596)
An excellent series of stickers which includes all the players' images of each of the 32 National teams competing in the tournament, the stadia and the various football federations and FIFA logo and trademarks. Card size 65 x 48.

Winning Moves UK Ltd Top Trumps 'Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest' (30+3)
The first film was successful and the second looks as if it is going to be even better. Captain Jack Sparrow does not seem to have a clue where he is going or why! But it all makes sense in the end; save maiden - foil baddy!
Title card only dated 2006, unnumbered.
Topps Europe Ltd. Merlin Stickers 'Dr. Who' (208)
The return of the Doctor has been a great success and many magazines and comics are using the name to sell their products. Not to be outdone Merlin has put together an acceptable set of stickers together with an attractive album. The series records stories up to Series 2 Episode 4, The Girl in the Fireplace.' Sticker sizes: Foil 84 x 60, Standard 84 x 48, dated 2004, which was the start of the present run of episodes.
