Sainsbury's 'Try Something New Today' Recipe Cards
I seem to have caused some confusion regarding this listing. I know there are fifty plus recipe cards issued by Sainsbury during any one year but my reference refers to those cards issued under the Jamie Oliver banner.
I hope this clarifies the situation.
Thornycroft Ltd 'Superman
Icons' (10)These are printed on the reverse of the 10 Candy Stick packets to coincide with the new movie 'Superman Returns'. There are various action shots of Superman with the Superman logo flash across the bottom of the frame. There are also Superman insignia printed with the characteristics of our Superhero, as in Strength, Vision, Flight, Speed, Intellect, Breath and Hearing.
The images are all taken from the DC Comics of the past. There are six different colour packs making a potential collection of sixty packets! The colours, each with a different front design, are: Blue, Green, Mauve, Pink, Red and Yellow. Dated (06). There are numbers to the left top flap and these may refer to the pack design or the number in the set. Highest seen is 63.

Cheese UK 'Kid's Go Free' (3)I am not sure whether this comes under update or new issue!
The card depicted in the July/August issue could be found within the cheese carton but these cut-out Entry Vouchers have been printed on the reverse of the Cheez Dippers box. The fronts of the cards depict pictures of the attraction and the printed reverse inside the box gives the terms and conditions of the promotion.
The offer expires 29th October 2006.

'Richmond New Pack
Design' (1)The insert advises of a new pack design for the Richmond brand. I have recorded the issue as one item but it does come in two sizes.

Stickers (9)These attractive stickers can be found in multi packs of Peperami. The sealed pack of three stickers also contains a poster which already depicts two other stickers.
Teams to collect are: 1 Mexico, (2 Sweden printed on poster), 3 Brazil, 4 Italy, 5 Spain, 6 Germany, (7 Argentina printed on poster), 8 USA, 9 England, 10 France, 11 Japan.

(6)Total service stations are giving away these cards over the summer months. Each card contains one large and two small stickers. Also available is a free adventure book with spaces to insert the large but not the small stickers. There is also a website to contact for extra fun during the school holidays. Card size (containing the stickers) 150 x 105. Unnumbered and undated.

'Premium Taste' (4)These colourful tobacco inserts carry a picture of one of the firm's key employees. On the reverse is a short statement of their particular role in company. Front and backs have a thick black border. Unnumbered and dated 2006.

'Pirates of the Caribbean' (2)Similar to the 'Cars' stiffener but issued to coincide with the third film in this popular series. The cards feature a figure from the film to colour and cut out.

Vue & BVI 'Cars Deck Collection' (12)These Deck Collection cards were given out at participating cinemas and form part of a competition to win a holiday to drive along Route 66. Two cards to start your collection can be obtained by registering at myvue.com/prevue.
McDonald's Corporation 'World Cup
Activity Card' (1)This World Cup item was issued with Happy Meals. The card depicts John Terry, Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and a football, which you are invited to "pop out and play!" The instructions are printed bottom left. Card size 220 x 149, dated 2006 with plain back.
Kinnerton Confectionery 'Cars' (2)These cards are issued within chocolate multi packs as the stiffener. They feature cars to colour and cut out from the Disney Pixar movie 'Cars'. Numbered but undated, size 160 x 120.

(6x6?)There appears to be six colour packs each depicting six different action scenes that can be collected from the reverse of 20-pack Candy Sticks. Items seen to date are: Blue - Popeye; Green - Spiderman; Orange - Turtles; Pink - Flintstones; Red - Superman; Yellow - Tom & Jerry. Size of picture if cut from pack 53 x 53, dated 2006.
Kellogg Company 'Skill Shotz' (6)Another issue in connection with the recent World Cup but only just discovered! The cards are not advertised on the cereal packet only the plastic ball game. There are six countries depicted on the plastic discs, which are pictured on the front of the card: Italy, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Argentina and England. On the reverse are line drawings of a training tip. Dated 2006 but unnumbered, size 70 x 50.
