Normally when you click on a file, a download window should open automatically. If it doesn't, you can right-click on the file and then choose the "save as" option. Sometimes download managers cause problems. Modern browsers come with their own download manager. If you have installed a free one you are probably better off removing it.
For the menus to work properly it is necessary for javascript to be enabled. If for some reason you have disabled it, you can click on the menu bar to open a page giving you all the links which would be available in the menu.
There are "crawlers" which roam the internet searching web sites for e-mail addresses. These then end up in mailing lists and receive junk e-mail for ever afterwards. The format on the contacts page means there are no addresses in a format which a crawler can find easily.
